MNRI Method

The Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration - MNRI® Method is a therapeutic technique developed by Svetlana Masgutova Ph.D which focuses on the restoration and maturation of primary reflex patterns, coordination systems, and sensory-motor integration.  A reflex is a sensory stimulus followed by processing of that stimulus in the brain and then a motor response.  When the body does not have appropriate responses to the sensory stimulus, connections in the brain are underdeveloped which results in dysfunction across developmental areas.

When the primary reflex patterns are not matured and do not function properly, the body is in a state of protection and survival.  By using the Masgutova Method, the reflexes are integrated and re-patterned and the body is able to strengthen the connections in the brain and increase myelination.  This results in increased neurologic functioning and improvements in all areas of development.

There are many challenges that are helped with the Masgutova Method including:

  • Gross and Fine Motor Delays

  • Neurodevelopmental Disorders

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Autism

  • Sensory Integration and Processing Disorder

  • Developmental Delays

  • Feeding Difficulties

  • ADD and ADHD

  • Genetic Disorders

  • Learning Disabilities

  • Prematurity

  • PTSD and Anxiety

  • Speech Delays

Regardless of the complexity or level of dysfunction an individual faces, when the primary reflex patterns are developed and integrated using the Masgutova Method, improvements can occur in all areas of development which allows the individual to reach their full potential.
